Why, it's a wedding! A wedding, you say? Indeed. The sand betwixt our toes, the waves crashing at our feet, a crab scuttling past. Was there ever a more romantic scuttle? No, I should think not.
After much thought and a heaping helping of procrastination—plus a baby—we are running off to be married. We are in love. We have committed ourselves to one another. This is what two committed, in-love people should do, given the chance.
This wedding will be a whirlwind. It will be quick and simple, and that's what we want (and about what we can afford). We are treating this like a glorified vacation, full of fun, relaxation and the celebration of a lifelong pledge. And despite the nature of our elopement, a good vacation should be spent with good friends and family.
What does this mean for you, gentle readers? It means that there will be no swanky venues, no elaborate costumes, no fancy cakes or bounce houses. But should you find yourselves in need of a getaway and you would enjoy watching us become all mushy, we would love to have you there. You. Yes, you. You're awesome.
In short, if you can't come, it's OK. If you said you could come and then later can't, it's OK. If you can come, that's amazing—no pressure, no stress, all fun.
